the train station and the castle

Pictured here is the Zurich Hauptbahnhof (main train station), seen from across the Limmat River. I took this picture from the bridge near the Central tram stop. The fairy tale castle on the right is actually the Landesmuseum, or the Swiss National Museum, which is devoted to Swiss history and culture. In the summer the museum hosts a concert series in its courtyard, and there really is no better setting for an outdoor concert. In December the courtyard comes alive with Christmas lights, an ice-skating rink, and stands serving gluehwein and hot chocolate.

The Zurich Hauphahnhof is beautiful during the day but your photo of it at night is absolutely breath taking. And I beautiful colors reflected on the river (Limmatquai?) is amazing.

Ming--the river is just Limmat, and the Limmatquai is the street that runs alongside the river between Central and Bellevue (if you remember where that is)

This is a beautiful photograph and reminds me of some kind of television commercial for Disneyland with the castle. I also liked the colorful flowers in your previous post.

Pretty! I haven't been to this part of town after dark, so haven't seen this sight before (at least as far as I can remember)
