Zürich Daily Photo: recycled gondolas

These old gondola cabins from a ski resort are now part of a lakeside playground. You can see the ski holders on either side of each door.

on recycling/reuse - another interesting thing I've seen around here: in the countryside old bathtubs are sometimes used as drinking troughs for the cows. So if you are ever driving around in Switzerland and see a random bathtub sitting under a tree, that's what it's for! perhaps the subject of a future post? but technically it would be outside of Zurich. Maybe I'll let Z in Villigen do that one...that's more in her neck of the woods.; March 6, 2007 at 10:51 AM
