Street Parade




Over 800,000 people in various states of dress (and undress) descended upon downtown Zürich for a day for partying in the streets. 20 or so trucks, or 'Lovemobiles,' as they like to call them, with dancers and DJ's blasting electronic music followed a route along part of the lake to Bellevue, over the bridge to Bürkliplatz, and then part of the way down the other side the lake. Revellers followed the trucks with their favorite version of trance or house music, and then danced into the night (and morning) at various after parties, many with super-star DJs, scattered throughout town.




Body paint, wigs, outrageous outfits, crazy dancing: the Swiss as you'd never expect to see them...

Here, the couple on the right was attempting some crazy dance move, but the girl on the left ended up getting kicked in the head right after I snapped this picture. She didn't seem to mind, though...
