sharpie pen mural

I took this picture a long time ago, and have been sitting on it for awhile. This is a small detail of a hand drawn mural that someone put up on a plywood construction barrier along the river. The entire thing was intricately done with a permanent marker. This has been up for several months, but the construction barrier was taken down at some point within the last week or two. So it's about time I post this for posterity...

pringles man in disguise

This piece, found on a construction barrier on the bike path along the Limmat River made me laugh because it looks like the Pringles man in a bear suit. I particularly like the "heart letten" 'tatoo' because the letten is where I spend a good portion of my free time during the sumer, and is actually a short walk from where I took this picture.

work in progress II

After a two week break due to other activities & festivities on Sundays, Graffiti Sunday is back. This weekend a group of graffiti artists met at the Oberer Letten for a 'Meeting of Styles.' They spent three days in the scorching sun working on this mural, while bystanders watching their progress (and everyone else laying out in the sun/swimming in the river/having drinks at the adjacent bar, and generally enjoying the summer weather) inhaled a bunch of fumes...

money is boring

Found in the Niederdorf area. The sentiment expressed here reminded me of a stencil I saw in Ljubljana about a year ago.

Someone decided to liven up this boring old trash can in the park in front of the Museum für Gestalltung. You may have seen this same park on the other Zurich Daily blog. Yup--Richard takes really nice pictures of art, while I take pictures of really random stuff.
