Seems like they are also called basswood or lime trees.
September is the tail end of summer here, so there won't be any snow in the cities. Some of the higher peaks in the alps have snow year round--Jungfrau, Matterhorn, etc. But with global warming we keep hearing that there is less and less snow up there each year...
